Rio: Follow Giggsy's lead

23/05/2008 13:25, Report by Ben Hibbs .
Rio: Follow Giggsy's lead
Rio Ferdinand has urged every United player to follow the example set by Ryan Giggs by aiming for sustained success.Giggs’ career is built on dedication to achieving repeated glory and Ferdinand says he feels inspired to pursue the same path as United’s all-time appearances record holder.“This is a great feeling to be victorious, but this is a bunch of players that are going to do it again,” Ferdinand told MUTV. “We’re not going to rest on our laurels. We’ll enjoy this moment. But we’ll be thinking about next season in the not-too-distant future because we want to be successful and the players are hungry for more success.“Players like Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Gary Neville who have won trophy after trophy still have the ambition to come in every day and try and win more. We’ve got to follow that example.”Giggs notched a staggering 759th appearance for the Reds and slotted away United’s sixth goal in the 6-5 penalty shoot-out win in Moscow. For Rio, it was a truly proud moment lifting the trophy alongside one of United’s greats. “Lifting the cup with Giggsy was a great moment for me,” Rio added. “He’s a living legend, someone who probably isn’t appreciated as much as he should be. Sometimes you felt it was [written in the script]. But you always think in the back of your mind that it is going to be shattered. Losing on penalties is a bad way to lose, but it’s a fantastic feeling to win.”Watch behind-the-scenes footage from the team plane and coach in MUTV's special programme Kings of Europe at 18:30 and 23:00 BST on Friday.

How do you define love?

Some say it's mysterious, magical, complex, difficult, imaginary, thought-provoking, inspirational, intuitional, joyous, immeasurable, ecstasy, and undefinable. Perhaps.
In one of Dr. John Gray's audio cassettes he defines love as follows: "Love is a feeling directed at someone which acknowledges their goodness."
On the same cassette, he refers to the definition by M. Scott Peck: "The willful intent to serve the well being of another."
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. - 1 Corinthians 13:5-7
My favorite is by Paramahansa Yogananda: "To describe love is very difficult, for the same reason that words cannot fully describe the flavor of an orange. You have to taste the fruit to know its flavor. So with love."
Love itself is a universal experience. Yet, every individual occurrence - while perhaps bound by a common thread - seems absolutely unique. Love is what love is! To everyone it expresses itself differently.

What is Love

What is love? It is one of the most difficult questions for the mankind. Centuries have passed by, relationships have bloomed and so has love. But no one can give the proper definition of love. To some “Love is friendship set on fire” for others “Maybe love is like luck. You have to go all the way to find it”. No matter how you define it or feel it, love is the eternal truth in the history of mankind.
Love is patient, love is kind. It has no envy, nor it boasts itself and it is never proud. It rejoices over the evil and is the truth seeker. Love protects; preserves and hopes for the positive aspect of life. Always stand steadfast in love, not fall into it. It is like the dream of your matter of affection coming true. Love can occur between two or more individuals. It bonds them and connects them in a unified link of trust, intimacy and interdependence. It enhances the relationship and comforts the soul. Love should be experienced and not just felt. The depth of love can not be measured. Look at the relationship between a mother and a child. The mother loves the child unconditionally and it can not be measured at all. A different dimension can be attained between any relationships with the magic of love. Love can be created. You just need to focus on the goodness of the other person. If this can be done easily, then you can also love easily. And remember we all have some positive aspect in us, no matter how bad our deeds maybe. And as God said “Love all”
Depending on context, love can be of different varieties. Romantic love is a deep, intense and unending. It shared on a very intimate and interpersonal and sexual relationship. The term Platonic love, familial love and religious love are also matter of great affection. It is more of desire, preference and feelings. The meaning of love will change with each different relationship and depends more on its concept of depth, versatility, and complexity. But at times the very existence of love is questioned. Some say it is false and meaningless. It says that it never exist, because there has been many instances of hatred and brutality in relationships. The history of our world has witnessed many such events. There has been hatred between brothers, parents and children, sibling rivalry and spouses have failed each other. Friends have betrayed each other; the son has killed his parents for the throne, the count is endless. Even the modern generation is also facing with such dilemmas everyday. But “love” is not responsible for that. It is us, the people, who have forgotten the meaning of love and have undertaken such gruesome apathy.
In the past the study of philosophy and religion has done many speculations on the phenomenon of love. But love has always ruled, in music, poetry, paintings, sculptor and literature. Psychology has also done lot of dissection to the essence of love, just like what biology, anthropology and neuroscience has also done to it.
Psychology portrays love as a cognitive phenomenon with a social cause. It is said to have three components in the book of psychology: Intimacy, Commitment, and Passion. Also, in an ancient proverb love is defined as a high form of tolerance. And this view has been accepted and advocated by both philosophers and scholars. Love also includes compatibility. But it is more of journey to the unknown when the concept of compatibility comes into picture. Maybe the person whom we see in front of us, may be least compatible than the person who is miles away. We might talk to each other and portray that we love each other, but practically we do not end up into any relationship. Also in compatibility, the key is to think about the long term successful relationship, not a short journey. We need to understand each other and must always remember that no body is perfect.
Be together, share your joy and sorrow, understand each other, provide space to each other, but always be there for each others need. And surely love will blossom to strengthen your relationship with your matter of affection.

Nintendo Wii, Unleashed!!!

Praise Nintendo for making the Nintendo Wii, a seventh generation of game consoles. It was conceptualized and developed after the launching of Nintendo GameCube.

Right after the released of GameCube, the developer started thinking of a new gaming system. Wii was based on the technology of GameCube but with a new twist. The concept for Wii was focused on a new interaction between the gaming system and the player. Wii was mentioned in the year 2004 at the E3 press Conference. Nintendo DS or simply DS was a great influenced on how Wii was designed. The console was originally known by the code name “Revolution” until they came up with the word “Wii” which sounds like “we”, it emphasizes that the system can be played by everybody.
Wii is equipped with a controller than everyone can understand. A wireless controller specially designed and can be used as a handheld pointing device, the Wii Remote Controller. The consoles offer four ways to stay connected, a Wi-Fi system, Blue Tooth Technology, two USB Ports. And the developers were able to add a unique characteristic: backward compatibility. So GameCube users can stop worrying about the compatibility issues.
The system features “parental controls”, which enables the parents to control and protect their children from disturbing games. With the size of about 8.5 inches long it is easy to carry and set it up with your television set. Aside from the Wii Remote, there is also the Nunchuck and the traditional gamepad controller.
After all these years of improving technology, Nintendo keeps the pace and aims for a different goal from the other gaming systems. From the traditional Nintendo to the Wii, it seems that technology is just a breath away for everybody. And check out the cool games that were created for the system, we are able to experience a new way of playing out all-time favorite “Super Mario”.
A salute and thumbs-up for the Nintendo guys.

Apple WWDC 2008 To Feature iPhone SDK In June

Boston (dbTechno) - In a yearly event, Apple brings together developers at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) to talk about various tools for technology, developing, etc. The event this year is set for June 9-13, 2008, and is expected to feature the iPhone SDK.
It is believed that the focus of WWDC this year is going to be the iPhone software development kit (SDK).
This will be the first chance for Apple to have some face time with developers since the announcement of the SDK.
The iPhone and iPod Touch are expected to get updates in June which will allow them access to the App Store, and the ability to download some of these applications created with the iPhone SDK.
During the initial announcement, games and instant messaging tools were shown from EA, SEGA, AOL, and more.
With the WWDC 2008 going hand in hand with the release of iPhone firmware update 2.0, it is expected that June should be a huge month for the iPhone.

Inside Multi-Touch by iphone

Recently I noted an interesting video at Channel 9: Inside MultiTouch: Team Demo, Lab Tour which shows an interview with members of the MultiTouch Research team at Microsoft Research in Cambridge UK.
Microsoft is exploring the use of IR technology over the traditional approach of using capacitive touch panels. The iPhone, for example, uses a capacitive touch panel built into the display.

Attack of the killer iPhones

AP Photo/Jason DeCrow, fileThe Apple iPhone.Dilbert creator Scott Adams predicts newspapers will be obsolete by the time most of us have gone through two more cell phone upgrades, thanks to the iPhone technology.
The iPhone, and its inevitable copycats, (let's call them iClones) are newspaper killers. When you have a web browser in your pocket, a printed newspaper is redundant. Eventually, all cell phones will have Internet browsing built in. You might not have a web browser on your next cell phone, but the one after that will have it as a standard feature.
